Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is the Mexican American broadcaster. She currently works as an ESPN sportscaster. ESPN and is anchor for SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. She joined ESPN in the year of 2016. She is the daughter of the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins was a bilingual since she was nine years old, a valuable ability that allowed her to secure her first job working as an assistant to the producer at Univision in Miami which gave her the chance to work with the producers of national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Her first job was as reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate in the following year. Then she moved from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 as a reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish channels KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. The stories she covered were about illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking throughout Texas and Mexico. The station also frequently asked her to serve as an anchor for weather and sports. The family relocated into Mexico City where she was born on 22 November 1985. There is also a younger sibling. She has an older sister. In the course of a few months, her father split from her mother and she was subsequently remarried by 1995 naval architect whose name was Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died of kidney cancer in 2006. The couple stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime in which she was given the opportunity of a job. As a senior in high school and yet knowing exactly about what she wanted to pursue in her future, Antonietta was able to visit her local University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her needs. The campus was a dream for her. The university also provided her with the major that she desired. She graduated from high school and was enrolled in media studies at the University. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was part of her class, developed a lasting relationship with her. His passion for journalism and her self-confidence inspired her. She, in turn was determined to achieve his expectations and never fail him.
